Hot Cross to Accelerate New Avalanche Ecosystem Project: Galaxy Survivor

The IHO for Galaxy Survivor is expected to take place during early Q2 2022.

**Galaxy Survivor** is a Real-Time-Strategy game that allows players to not only experience a beautiful, lively 3D Game but also join battles, complete missions to receive valuable rewards (NFT).

Hot Cross is extremely thrilled to unveil another acceleration and our first ever IDO (“IHO”) on Avalanche: Galaxy Survivor. We’re no strangers to Avalanche, having launched out a multi-chain bridge from Ethereum to Avalanche last year as well as a variety of other products; however, this is the first acceleration and IHO that we’ll be doing on Avalanche as a purely chain-native project and blockchain game.

In short, Galaxy Survivor is an epic real-time strategy game that allows players to experience a beautiful, lively 3D game adventure but also join battles, complete missions, and receive valuable NFTs. The game uses a real-time attack mechanism characteristic of various tactical game series. Players need to calculate thoroughly to arrange a squad before the start of the match to gain an advantage.

The TLDR here is that with its extensive upgrade system, various game modes, stunning gameplay, and dual-token utility model, Galaxy Survivor was a great choice for us at Hot Cross to not only accelerate their launch but also dive deeper into the Avalanche ecosystem.

The Great Galactic War on Avalanche

There are three primary components to the Galaxy Survivor gameplay:

Battle
- Campaign: Players fight AI on different planets, which drop their own items in various proportions.
- Bounty Hunter: Every day of the week players hunt a different map.
- World Boss: A weekend event whereby players are immersed in an environment that enabled them to deal boss damage.
Build
- Join an empire, build a spacecraft, and form your own fleet to take part in challenges. Colonize a planet, build structures and equipment for exploration.
Trade
- Trade, hold, auction, or grant leases in a native marketplace.

$GLXY

$GLXY is the official “hard” token of Galaxy Survivor. $GLXY can be used in a variety of activities, such as:

Marketplace: Players can use $GLXY to buy, sell, auction, or hire NFTs to participate in the game;
Limited Box Sale: Players can use $GLXY to purchase event boxes, including the Spaceship Box (Limited to 100,000 Ships in the Server) and other Event boxes according to the Game's updated roadmap;
Special Event: Players can use $GLXY to pay for Galaxy Survivor’s special events.

IHO Requirements

We’re doing this announcement a bit differently this time; instead of setting a hard date for April, we can say that we anticipate this going to market in early April. We can also happily share that this IHO will definitely accept, in part, HOTCROSS on Avalanche, which already has a bridge and already has a pool on Trader Joe.

Internally tested IHO’s on Avalanche
Bridging from ERC20 to Avalanche
Users can still KYC on BNB Smart Chain and use the same KYC’d wallet on Avalanche when the IHO comes
Now that Cross Pool 2 is live, we’ll have staking pools for Galaxy Survivor’s token, $GLXY, on Cross Pool for Avalanche
Cross Vest / Claim internal testing on Avalanche is also underway
and our GET and POST API suite has also been re-tooled to support Avalanche completely with any product that we deploy on the chain;
