A wonderful year of heavy shipping and expanding
2022 is drawing to an end despite all the ups and downs in the Web 3 world, for the whole Hot Cross team, we are proud to say that the year is full of dedicated efforts. And more importantly, we are optimistic about 2023.
As 2022 is slowly wrapping up, we would like to walk you through the memorial moments and treasures of the year. 2022 has proven to be a year of progress and growth.
📢 Major Announcements in 2022
We closed the $5M Ecosystem Growth Round to Expand the product suite to a broader range of networks.
Along the fantastic news also comes the $HOTCROSS tokenomics 2.0: Slower Emissions, Delayed Team Release, and Ecosystem Adjustments (in short: By the end of 2022, the total $HOTCROSS in circulation will be reduced by 32%).
💻 Crafted Product Design and constant iteration
The Product suite is polished and perfected in every aspect, manifesting our commitment to users.
The KYC has been upgraded to allow users to get a 10% referral fee and a friend to get a 10% discount;
Accordingly, UI has been changed to show the unique referral link.
As in:
10% to the person doing the referring
10% to the person who used the link
80% to the platform.
Even more exciting, the KYC flow has turned into being done directly on the application without waiting any longer, no more manual efforts have to be made.
We also gave the KYC page a new look.
Cross Send goes completely charge-free, giving the community great convenience using our product suite. What's noteworthy is that the product also tapped into two new blockchains: BitTorrent and Aurora.
And we decide that Cross Bridge should also embrace BitTorrent & Aurora, providing users with the possibility to bridge $HOTCROSS between blockchains and explore unlimited possibilities.
Cross Pool was decorated with a few new buttons to facilitate the staking management for users.

Besides the buttons, the Cross Pool also went through a major upgrade to be Cross Pool 2:

have an unstake delay (lock)
compound rewards if needed
take a protocol fee if needed
support reflect tokens

And it's deployed shortly after to showcase the brand-new Cross Pool 2 features that are brought to life.
Cross Yield evolves steadily and firmly with the deployment on both the BNB chain and Aurora.
The integration with Biswap, PancakeSwap, ApeSwap, and trisolaris have provided users with unlimited yield opportunities.
We also focus on the details that demonstrate how we care about the user experience.
The UI/UX of Cross Yield gets better with the custom Zap Slippage Tolerance to avoid losing too much gas on ZAP-in. Not to mention the toggle that gives you instant options views of the eligible vaults.
As the community grows daily, we decide to get the community more involved with the decision-making process, hence the development of the Hot Cross voting portal.
NFT Staking receives rounds of applause when we first introduced it to the community. We managed to launch the first tester round of staking, then another tester round with slight differences, during which we also post an announcement regarding the additional NFT staking to clear up confusion.
Altogether, the products we shipped have really overwhelmed our Bosses, so we firgured, why not launch a User Dashboard to help track all data across the platform?

The new home page for Hot Cross applications is released, highlighting our updates, the majority of our products, and the blockchains we support. Along with a change to the footer that gives easier access to the app and ecosystem from the bottom of your screen.
Even though there's a lot to be improved, to be cleaned up, and to be edited, We love the newly launched Hot Cross website.
