Farm HOTCROSS-BUSD LP for BANANA, Stake GNANA for HOTCROSS
Last month we kicked off a 45-Day staking program on Cross Pool for Binance Smart Chain stakers to get BANANA simply by staking HOTCROSS into Cross Pool. We purchased BANANA off of the innovative AMM ourselves because we were insanely impressed with the team at ApeSwap and their work. They do things in a way that fits with our culture of building: serious but not boring. Humorous and fun but safe. They were also chosen as a Binance Smart Chain Most Valuable Builder II team along with Hot Cross. Our ethos has also been to grow the pie together, and among the other builders in the space, we felt that ApeSwap has something special.
The pigs at 🐷 Hot Cross and the apes at 🦧 ApeSwap have formed an official partnership on August 14th at 22:00 UTC with a HOTCROSS-BUSD LP farm for BANANA and a HOTCROSS pool for GNANA stakers. This introduces so many new opportunities to the Hot Cross community of holders and stakers, including:
Reduced risk of LP volatility with a stable base on one side;
A new reward asset in BANANA and, by extension, new staking opportunities on the ApeSwap platform and potentially Cross Pool for BSC;
A new LP token for HOTCROSS that we can utilize in Cross Pool to do cool things with rewards pools that we may not have been able to do before the partnership;
Exposure to GNANA to the Hot Cross community and in reverse exposure to Hot Cross and our suite of products on Binance Smart Chain by the ApeSwap community;
And finally, deeper on-chain liquidity for HOTCROSS, which for clever traders becomes an opportunity to understand that 0x has an API to find best-rate swaps on BSC.
The partnership definitely goes beyond liquidity. Our plans with ApeSwap for some time now have been to identify their strengths and weaknesses and see how Hot Cross can leverage ourselves as an infrastructure-layer project on Binance Smart Chain to bring value to an up-and-coming AMM.
This also includes education and highlighting some of the things that ApeSwap does differently. Their NFTs (which we care about, obviously), dual-token model, for-traders UI, and fierce culture buildup are attractive areas we can learn from and lead. In short, we’re stoked to have had such a brilliant last few months of friendship with ApeSwap and can’t wait to kick off the new farms with them.
