Hot Cross is happy to share that a new trading pair for Hot Cross Token ($HOTCROSS) has opened up on Uniswap Protocol V3, the most powerful and leading decentralized crypto trading protocol on Ethereum. As we begin to expand our reach into new blockchain territories, it will be vital to have a healthy pool for HOTCROSS on what is without dispute the current DeFi heavyweight blockchain in the ecosystem. Our development philosophy has always been “ETH and EVM Compatible Networks,” so it’s time to bring that more to life and also attention to the beauty of Cross Bridge, a seamless way of trustlessly pegging HOTCROSS tokens from/to Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain.

If you’d like to LP on Uniswap V3, use Cross Bridge to migrate your BSC tokens (BEP20); The pool is a 1% fee swap pool, meaning that to LP on Ethereum over a long duration of time is beneficial to those who take on risk.
*We are fundamentally bullish on the future of Ethereum and Open Finance. We tend to ignore short-term market fluctuations and focus on long-term building in the entire DeFi ecosystem. For now, though, we are launching with a USDC pair to avoid violent swings in the market that may dissuade participants from contributing to the Hot Cross protocol. If you wish only to expose yourself to one side while being an LP, there are also other options, including providing liquidity on ApeSwap on BSC for incentives. If you wish to be on Ethereum now, this is the pool for you.
Update November 28th, 2022: This pool was largely under-utilized so we moved it to BSC/AVAX. We’ll revisit if we deploy our product suite to ETH.
Uniswap V2 Liquidity
Keep in mind that there are several pairs bootstrapped on Uniswap V2 to prevent others from bootstrapping that liquidity. These are not tradeable, super-shallow, and we strongly advise you to swap using Uniswap V3 unless we update this post or shoot out another announcement.
“But gas fees on Ethereum are high!”
This is not a justifiable reason to avoid bootstrapping strong liquidity on the oldest and most battle-tested AMM in the ecosystem today. Ethereum is incredibly decentralized compared to many of its counterparts, and many “DeFi OG’s” prefer to stick with the blockchain they love most. We will continue to be aggressive about pushing the boundaries with what is possible given the nature of tools that we have already built and are already building:
Cross Bridge: Peg in/out from Ethereum to BSC;
Cross Vest: multi-chain token claims and vesting;
Cross Send: Batch send tokens to addresses with a few clicks;
Cross Pool: The best way to stake and participate on-chain;
Cross Mint: The easiest way to mint NFT’s cross-chain from a unified UI/UX;
IHOs and Launchpad: Launching new ideas into a multi-chain space;
And much more to come.
These tools are ETH and EVM compatible, so having the liquidity ready to go now on Ethereum is a must as we plan out the next several months in the Hot Cross development journey. Fascinating times, indeed.
LP Programs and Staking on Ethereum
We’ll get there - fear not. The road to a healthy ecosystem with diverse participants necessitates that we consider incentives on all blockchains. For now, there is no hidden goodie bag other than being an LP on the best AMM in the world (and enjoying fees from swaps), preparing for what’s to come when we launch our products onto Ethereum mainnet and assuming that we are now officially in the project stage of development where we are tackling all chains now. It’s all coming together as it should, and we love that.
