Hot Cross is thrilled to unveil our fourth Initial Hot Cross Offering: Salo Players! Salo Players (The Digital Guardian) is a compelling, shooting play-to-earn (P2E) game on BNB Smart Chain. Players act as Guardian Gunners who have no mercy for viruses attempting to harm the SALO Network. Salo Players offer players fast-paced gameplay, a low barrier to entry, a simple UI, and valuable NFTs. With various NFTs and a sustainable emission schedule, players are enticed to play and earn while also embracing the enjoyment of the GameFi ecosystem.

Salo Players - Digital Guardian is:

An incredible shooting P2E game on top of BNB Smart Chain, with a third-person top-down view, including RPG mechanisms such as stats and leveling up;
An expanding storyline that develops throughout the game. Thematically, Salo Players embraces SciFi and CyberPunk;

$SALO Overview

$SALO is the native token of Salo Players. $SALO can be used for various purposes, such as:

Purchasing UBO (User Bio Online). UBO contains Characters Avatar and Gun Fragments;
Purchasing NFT characters and NFT Guns from the SALO Shop;
Bidding and Offering NFT characters and NFT Guns from the Salo Marketplace;
Exchanging for $BYTE to buy upgrades such as Upgrade Chip, Upgrade Plug-in, Evolution Gem, etc.

Quick Salo Players IHO Overview

TLDR: Raising $800,000 in a DISCOUNTED pre-public sale (May 24th, 2022) with 6.25% upfront (at TGE) and 15-month linear vesting on the remaining 93.75%. There will be two sessions; one capped and one unlimited. There is no Cross Bosses NFT holding requirement. Payment methods will be in BUSD (capped) and HOTDOG (uncapped). The IHO will run for 24 hours. Note that the cost basis on $SALO for this IHO is at a 50% discount to the public sale that will run for this project.

P2E Incentives Kick in when the game goes live on mainnet. This is a discounted sale for longer-term players who wish to enter into the Salo Players ecosystem at a discounted rate and be ready when the game goes live. There may be slight modifications before the IHO - if so, they will be communicated.

We wrote during our previous IHO that smart contract changes were coming to IHOs, and we found them to be very successful. Some of the concepts are:

Token Vesting (need to show alignment to the team’s product vision and roadmap)
Project Acceleration (we handle a ton of tech to help launch the team)
Cooldown Periods (Contribution method in HOTDOG had a cooldown to avoid mercenaries)
Duration of raise (24 hours so that people can comfortably enter into the IHO on their own time)

The only requirement we will be removing from this IHO specifically is the NFT holding requirement. We have NFT staking with more pools coming soon (very soon), so we don’t want to lock out everyone from participating in IHOs. All you need to do is KYC for this one. You will not need to hold an NFT for this IHO.

General Raise Summary

To put the above in simple terms, this is how that will look:

IHO on May 24th, 2022
- 1-week cooldown on HOTDOG session(s)*
- No cooldown on the BUSD session
- Duration: 24 hours
- Raise: $800,000
- Cost per SALO: $0.008
Initial 6.25% SALO released within a few days of May 24th, expected no later than June 1st.
- The remaining amount is vested over 15 months to align discounted buyers with the project.

*It’s super-important to keep in mind that these sessions change with every IHO. That’s the beauty of being part of the community. We adapt and change sale methods and pool methods frequently. This sale, in particular, was offered to the Hot Cross community at a fantastic discount, so we’re going for it.
